This year we have chosen the SIDS KIDS charity!!!
It will be a GOLD COIN DONATION per person event! all proceeds will be going to the Sids Kids charity, and you will be provided with tax receipt thing for donations over $2
Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is a medical term that describes the sudden death of an infant which remains unexplained after all known and possible causes have been carefully ruled out through autopsy, death scene investigation, and review of the medical history. SIDS is responsible for more deaths than any other cause in childhood for babies one month to one year of age, claiming 150,000 victims in the United States in this generation alone - 7,000 babies each year -nearly one baby every hour of every day. It strikes families of all races, ethnic and socioeconomic origins without warning; neither parent nor physician can predict that something is going wrong. In fact, most SIDS victims appear healthy prior to death.

DETAILS:
Date : 21st March 2010, its a sunday kiddies!!!
First meet point: Springwood old ikea carpark!!! 9am meet for 9.30am Leave.
Second meet : Yatala BP. 10am meet, for 10:30 leave
this gives people time to get drinks, food, fuel go to toilet etc!!!
Third meet: exit 77 (another servo stop) 11am meet for 11.30 leave
this stop will be a sort of catch up point, as im hoping by that stage we will have a number of cars.
Forth meet : BP outside of tweed heads 12pm - 12.15pm leave
once again a very quick stop, for those who need extra fuel or drinks of toilet stop.
FINAL STOP : for the run down, arriving at LENNOX HEAD LOOKOUT at approx 12:45pm
At this meet we will all park up, take lots of photos, eat drink and be merry, and just do the general chill out after the cruise down.
for the Lennox head meet, we might chill out for hour or so then if people want to cruise off they can, if not we will be heading back up to the gold coast to the spit, for further photos and chilling out.
It will be a reasonably big cruise, so be sure to have a full tank of fuel!!! or money to fill up at one of the many servos we stop at
I will have organised cruise leaders, One at front, one at back of cars as well as a few scattered through the middle, this way if we get caught at traffic lights people will know where they are going!
THINGS TO BRING:
FULL tank of fuel
Money for donation to sids kids (you will get a receipt on the day that is tax deductible)
Money for drinks and food along the way
I will be organising getting a cruise sticker made up its going to say something like SKIDS FOR KIDS, undecided on final thing.
chairs (lennox heads from memory doesnt have any chairs to sit on)
UHF radio things, these make the trip just that much more enjoyable, we will organise a spam channel and a channel for people who get lost, we will advise channels on day.
RULES FOR CRUISE!!!
now in the past the cruises have turned out pretty good, and we have had little to no cop interference, and i would like to keep it that way as i know some of us have cars the are slightly defectable, and noone wants a fine on a charity event.
So even though we have named the cruise skids for kids, remember there is a time and place, and we dont want to get screwed over by the Police!!!
other than that rubbish goes in a rubbish bin etc, for the places we stop over at please keep mess to a min, as we dont want them calling the cops on us either.
Other than that we will be out to have a fun day
Also because this is a cruise for a childrens charity, and there are people on this site (www.boostcruising.com) with children who may bring their kids with them can we please make sure if there are kids around to tone down the language and what not, all i can say is act like adults and make sure everyone has a good day
Anyone who can make up some stickers cheap, if you could let me know i cant remember who made them for the first years C4AC, but they were ment to last a day, and i think my mum had one on her car for like the next 2 years. they were awesome stickers.
also feel free to make up a design for the sticker, as im pretty crap at that kinda thing!!
I will also post up who will be the cruise leaders and what cars they will be in, along with what cars will be allocated as cruise photographers, let me know if your keen for the job (we will make some special stickers saying cruise leaders and cruise photographers or something so people know who to follow)
